How are receivables and payables calculated?
Understand how sales, purchases, and payment records affect receivables and payables.

- Understand payables
- Check balances on Home
1. Understand receivables
When a sale has not been paid, the remaining amount becomes the customer's receivable. A partial payment reduces the receivable by the amount received.
2. Understand payables
When a purchase has not been paid, the remaining amount becomes the supplier's payable. A purchase on credit or a partial payment leaves the unpaid amount as a payable.
3. Check balances on Home
Review the receivable or payable card in the monthly summary on Home. Open the customer detail or open transaction list to see which transactions make up the balance.
