1. What customer types mean

All is for a relationship where you may record both sales and purchases. Sales is for a customer you only sell to, and Purchases is for a supplier you only buy from.

All, Sales, and Purchases describe the transaction directions allowed for the customer.

2. Choose a customer type

On the Add Customer screen, tap the transaction type and choose All, Sales, or Purchases. Choose All when the relationship may include both sales and purchases.

Choose the type that matches how you trade with the customer.

3. Manage the type later

Customer lists and balances use the selected transaction type to organize your work. If the relationship changes, edit the customer and review the type again.

Review the customer type together with receivable and payable balances in the list.
